.the other side v2.0(cont’d)

Well, it’s been a couple months since I posted last. Not like it matters anyway…

Anyway, as I said in a previous post, I was working on a ruby version of my blog…but I decided to just continue to use wordpress…so, I’ve changed the theme to this one, which I rather like.

Summer is on the way finally.

Fishing09

As you can see I’ve been out fishing at Abby’s lake. Anyway, that’s it for now. I’ll update in another couple of months!

Clouds(That look like things)

I’ve got an audition tomorrow for this band. Indie rock. Hopefully I land the gig, it’d be pretty sweet. I really need to get back into drumming and such again.

.the other side v.2.0

Well, I’m working on a new version of .the other side. So far, it’s nothing fantastic, but I’m looking to try and create something that is completely my own and not just another wordpress blog (like this one is currently!). I’m having a lot of difficulty deciding what I would like it to look/handle like. And this is going to have to be the first step in development. I decided today that if I do functionality first, and look/feel second, I’m going to end up going off of some template that everyone has seen before, so, I’ve decided to make it really cool and web 2.0 looking. After I get the basic design it’s off to the coding (I will be using Ruby on Rails for this project, I’ve looked into it recently and done a few things…should be exciting at least.)

So, now I ask all two of my readers to post anything they find on the web that looks…new, unique, web 2.0 and so on…I need ideas!

Astro Physics?

So, as I said in my last post on here, I recently started up school again after graduating from high school two years ago or whatever it was. This has had an unforeseen effect on me. I’ve recently decided I’d like to delve into the world of physics again. Last time I did it was in high school (I realize it’s only high school science) but I really liked it. I understood it quite easily and I like math. I’m in the process of figuring out how I can about studying this without having taken the proper high school courses (Correspondence courses?). Damn the expense.

School

Here it is, January. (that was a close one, almost had two posts in the same month there!) I’m starting school on the 13th and I’m getting excited. It’s not just school for me, it feels more like starting a career, like finally starting my life.

Christmas was ok, family can become stressful after a month or so back at home.

Drumming

I don’t know if anyone who may be reading this (all two of you) has ever tried drumming, but I find it fantastic. I puts me in a wonderful mood…everytime…

Lately I haven’t been doing it, but Abby’s brought home a hand drum from her parent’s house and I’ve been playing it. Just finished actually, and it makes me happy. I am hoping I can jam with some people as lately I’ve been missing the groove…so to speak…It was a large part of my life and I haven’t been doing it recently so I’m really glad Abby brought it home. Oh god, I need to jam.

Nuit Blanche

Well, it’s been a while since I’ve posted…

Firstly, I got a job finally. I do phone tech support for the iPhone, which pays the rent at least..and I guess I kinda like it, decently fun job and the people are nice. I’m getting sick of the training class though, I would like to just get out on the floor and work.

Secondly, Nuit blanche recently came and went. Wow, did that ever mess me up…I think we stayed up until about 7:30 am and I drank way too much. It was extremely fun though. We walked around for a while and then stumbled on this underground party/rave thing in a garage. The DJ was pretty good.

And Finally, Thanksgiving was this weekend. We went to Abby’s grandfather’s house with her parents and my parents. It was pretty good, I got a crap load of left overs to eat so that’s awesome. Thanksgiving left overs are the best.
